Domestic / Home Waste

ReCip®, have been used to treat several forms of domestic waste such as residential developments and municipalities.  Individual homeowner systems were recently developed and are currently being third party evaluated.

ReCip®, will meet or exceed local nutrient reduction standards.  The following represents minimum ReCip nutrient reductions:

  •  COD, BOD5      95 - 99% Reductions
  • Total Ammonia Nitrogen (TAN)  90 - 95% Reductions
  • Total Phosphorous (TP)  60 - 85% Reductions
  • Total Suspended Solids (TSS)  90 - 95% Reductions
  • Fecal Coliform Bacteria       95 - 99% Reductions
ReCips  will significantly reduce odors and heavy metal concentrations while maintaining high DO and buffering pH to near neutral levels.  A continuum of redox-specific reactions can be controlled within and between treatment cells via system design and operation.

Biological activity within the ReCip cells is largely unaffected by seasonal temperature fluctuations.

Because treatment cells are sealed on five sides, and tertiary reductions are achieved, ReCip®, can be used in NO-PERK SOILS where conventional treatment methods are not feasible!  Discharge of effluent is based on hydraulic loading vs. nutrient loading rates, which has dramatic implications/impact on the amount of land required for disposal.  70-80% reductions are common place!
