Although ReCip®, can easily treat many forms of domestic waste, individual homeowner systems have not been designed or installed until recently.

Many areas of the country are plagued with marginal lands that will not allow land owners to receive a standard septic permit thereby minimizing building development. The need is there to provide an effective and affordable waste treatment solution to service these marginal lands.

BioConcepts has redesigned the typical open cell ReCip system for individual homeowner use. The two open ReCip cells have been enclosed into a two celled tank that can be installed between a septic tank and effluent disposal field. The buried ReCip system is designed to provide the required treatment to allow a permit for installation on marginal lands.

The newly designed homeowner system is currently under evaluation by the National Sanitation Foundation, one of the evaluation arms of the Environmental Protection Agency. The evaluation concluded at the end of 2003. An Innovative Permit will be sought as soon as practical.

The two black pipes (risers) designate the location of the two ReCip cells inside the tank. The tank is constructed from corrugated aluminum pipe that has been vacuum tested to state standards.

The tank is approximately 10 feet long and designed to treat up to 500 gallons of domestic wastewater per day.

A simple control panel controls the ReCip system, a dosing tank if required, and necessary alarms.
